Custom Characterization of Non-Cardiac Contractile Cell Types

The Challenge

Smooth muscle cells, skeletal myocytes, and other contractile phenotypes are increasingly used in drug screening and disease modeling. Yet most functional platforms are built exclusively around cardiomyocytes and can’t be adapted easily for non-cardiac cell types. This gap limits preclinical exploration of new mechanisms in muscle biology, vascular safety, or regenerative medicine.

Our Solution

We extend our assay capabilities beyond the heart to support contractile analysis in a broad range of non-cardiac cell types. Our mechanosensitive and impedance-based platforms can be customized for smooth muscle, skeletal muscle, and other excitable tissues. Whether evaluating force generation, relaxation dynamics, or compound effects on cell integrity, we tailor the conditions and endpoints to match your specific biological and translational context.
